Power Of Words
Words have a lot of power. Words have the power to inspire, teach, comfort, and lift. On the other hand, words have the power to damage and demolish, agitate and irritate, chastise and condemn, disgrace and denigrate. An individual is believed to utter between 10 and 20,000 words on average each day.
This means that we have a ton of opportunities each day to say something positive or bad; the option is entirely up to us. The Influence of Words Despite frequent assertions to the effect that "those are just words," it is well recognized that words have the ability to alter the course of events. One word has the power to entirely alter the meaning of a phrase or to add depth.
As demonstrated in the "The Power of Words" film, it's not what you say, but how you say it. ‘I'm Blind please help’ was written on the placard of a homeless man who was begging for change. The passing people did not pay any attention to the man. ‘It's a gorgeous day outside and I can't see it’, his placard said after being read by a passing woman who then rewrote it.
Our words reveal who we are. That applies to both the words we use when speaking and writing. In the modern world, there are a lot of people that post offensive content on Facebook, Twitter, and a variety of other social media platforms. Cyberbullying has taken over the internet, so it's no longer only a problem on the playground. Additionally, it seems that people are more willing to be cruel in writing than they would ever dare to be in person. Words spoken hurt just as much as words written down, and sometimes they hurt much more.
What is crucial to remember is that persons who speak poorly of others are those who first felt poorly about themselves and who are prone to self-critical thoughts all the time. The person eventually starts to only perceive the negative in others after a while of only seeing the worst in themselves, and they frequently start to voice that. They lose the ability to notice the good and instead just criticize and complain.
Words have great power; they are more than just letters on a page of paper; they may arouse emotions and inspire action. Consider some of your favorite songs and consider how the words can, based on the listener's own experiences, evoke joy, happiness, melancholy, depression, loneliness, longing, or any other emotion imaginable.
